Artificial intelligence in the large business sector of the province of El Oro-Ecuador period 2023-2024

This research offers a descriptive-correlational quantitative approach, using a methodology with a Likert scale survey, and using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) as a tool together with Partial Least Squares (PLS) regression in the Smart PLS apk. In addition to an exhaustive literary review considering an explanatory and conceptual theoretical framework. The article offers a study limited to the province of El Oro during the period 2023-2024, based on an objective that analyzes Artificial Intelligence (AI) in large companies in the aforementioned province, considering its applications in the operational part of the company, as well as its difficulties and challenges for the implementation of this technology. The results indicate a low adoption of AI. However, a response was found under the name of tools such as chatbots; which emphasize relevant sectors of daily life such as transportation and customer service. Thus, evidencing the main benefits perceived with increases in efficiency in the operational part and reductions in costs. On the other hand, challenges include the lack of expert critical information and resistance to change in different organizations, mostly in the private sector.
