Portal de la Ciencia is an Open Access scientific journal that adopts a policy of no fees for authors and readers. The journal does not charge any fees associated with the submission, evaluation, editing, publication, access, reading, or downloading of articles.

No Fees for Authors

Portal de la Ciencia does not charge authors any fees for publishing their works.

The journal does not apply Article Processing Charges (APCs) or fees for:

  • manuscript submission;

  • article receipt or registration;

  • editorial evaluation;

  • peer review;

  • proofreading and editing;

  • formatting and typesetting;

  • article publication;

  • DOI assignment;

  • electronic publication;

  • digital preservation;

  • deposit of articles in repositories or scholarly dissemination systems.

The decision to accept or reject a manuscript is based exclusively on academic, scientific, methodological, and editorial criteria, in accordance with the journal's established editorial policies and peer-review procedures. Publication decisions are not conditioned on any payment made by authors.

Free Access for Readers

All content published by Portal de la Ciencia is available through Open Access, immediately, free of charge, and without temporary restrictions.

Readers are not required to make any payment, purchase a subscription, or register in order to:

  • access the articles;

  • read the published content;

  • download articles;

  • share publications in accordance with the terms of the applicable license;

  • access the journal's published issues.

The journal does not charge subscription fees for access to its scientific content.

No Hidden or Additional Fees

Portal de la Ciencia does not impose hidden or additional charges during the editorial process.

Authors are not subject to subsequent payments related to the acceptance, editing, publication, or dissemination of their articles.

Consequently, acceptance of a manuscript does not create any financial obligation for the authors.
