Abstract

This issue of Tribunal de Justicia. Revista de Investigación Jurídica (Judicial Court. Journal of Legal Research), Volume 2, Number 2 (2025), is dedicated to the study of contemporary transformations in Civil Law in the face of the social, economic, and technological changes that characterize the 21st century. The collected articles analyze essential institutions of private law from comparative, critical, and interdisciplinary perspectives, addressing the general theory of contracts, civil liability, corporate law, consumer protection, electronic securities, and corporate insolvency proceedings. Taken together, the research demonstrates the need to reinterpret the classical categories of Civil Law to respond to new scenarios of digital contracting, economic globalization, the strengthening of corporate transparency, effective consumer protection, and the modernization of legal mechanisms related to commerce and business. This volume constitutes an academic contribution aimed at strengthening the scientific debate and promoting the development of legal solutions compatible with the principles of legal certainty, justice, equity, and the effective protection of rights in contemporary societies.
