Abstract

Scientific research is a fundamental tool for understanding contemporary problems and proposing alternatives aimed at social well-being, sustainable development, and institutional strengthening. This special issue of the journal Society & Technology brings together contributions that address challenges related to mental health, environmental sustainability, cultural identity, business management, accounting, citizen security, law, and education. From diverse disciplinary perspectives, the published works examine problems that require rigorous analysis, contextualized interpretation, and responses grounded in scientific knowledge. The thematic breadth of this edition demonstrates the importance of dialogue among the social sciences, the humanities, economics, law, and applied fields of knowledge. It also highlights the need to strengthen the relationship between research, decision-making, and the transformation of local realities. In this context, the journal reaffirms its commitment to disseminating academic knowledge and promoting research that contributes to understanding the challenges of contemporary societies.
