Abstract

The present work entitled "Computer system for the accessibility of economic-financial information at the University of Cienfuegos" aims to create a web application for the management of accounting information at the University of Cienfuegos. Said application streamlines and increases the reliability of dissimilar accounting processes that are carried out in it, such as information on salary payments to employees, request by workers for bank loans and inventory control. To carry out the business documentation, design and implementation of the system, the Unified Modeling Language (UML) was used, following the provisions of the RUP development methodology, as a database manager, SQL Server was used as the programming language. Web, PHP and the Yii framework were used, as a Web server, Apache. The designed software meets the real needs of customers and end users. The justification for its development was specified from a feasibility study based on use case points.
