Uso de tecnologías digitales por grupos sociodemográficos en Ecuador: Análisis de la generación Z y los teléfonos inteligentes

Resumo

Este estudo examina o uso de smartphones entre a Geração Z no Equador, concentrando-se nos padrões de uso de tecnologias móveis e sua relação com variáveis ​​sociodemográficas. Ressalta-se que a Geração Z, por ter crescido em um ambiente digital, depende fortemente de smartphones e da Internet para diversas atividades diárias. São utilizados dados da Pesquisa Nacional de Emprego, Desemprego e Subemprego (ENEMDU) de 2023, dos quais foi filtrada e analisada uma amostra de 5.486 indivíduos entre 12 e 27 anos que possuem telefone celular. O uso universal da Internet e das mídias sociais é demonstrado entre a Geração Z, enquanto recursos específicos como e-mail, GPS e videoconferência mostram variações baseadas em fatores demográficos. Esta pesquisa fornece elementos sobre os comportamentos de adoção tecnológica dos jovens equatorianos, destacando a necessidade de estratégias direcionadas para melhorar a alfabetização digital e o uso responsável da tecnologia. Estes resultados são relevantes para os decisores políticos e educadores que procuram eliminar a exclusão digital e adaptar as intervenções às necessidades específicas da Geração Z no Equador.
