Proposal for a balanced scorecard for the Camilo Cienfuegos refinery

Abstract

To measure the performance of a company, it is necessary to have indicators to detect opportunities for improvement. There is a very useful instrument that combines financial and non-financial indicators, it also offers a structured method for the selection of guide indicators that involve management, called the company's Balanced Scorecard. This diploma project presents the analysis and detailed design of a proposal to a computerized Balanced Scorecard system for decision-making at the Camilo Cienfuegos SA Oil Refinery. The objective of this research was considered to improve management, based on the use of said system, as well as the necessary elements for its implementation. Due to the importance of understanding in detail the work in the decision-making process and laying the foundations for a correct implementation, a preliminary study was carried out and the objectives established by the company and the key areas of results were analyzed. For the development of this work, the Scrum methodology is used as a software development methodology, the Axure RP as a tool to design structures and prototypes and other important tools mentioned in the document
