Relevância curricular e inovação no ensino superior

Este artigo teve como objetivo analisar e sintetizar a literatura académica sobre a importância dos estudos de relevância na criação de novos programas universitários. A metodologia de revisão foi rigorosa, estabelecendo critérios claros de pesquisa e seleção. A pesquisa limitou-se a publicações dos últimos dez anos, em espanhol e inglês, que abordassem temas-chave. Foram consultadas bases de dados académicas de renome mundial, como a Scopus, a Web of Science e o Google Scholar, complementadas com relatórios de organizações nacionais como o CES e o CACES. Os principais resultados demonstraram que a relevância educativa tem três dimensões: social, económica e académica. A nível social, os estudos de relevância contribuem para a resolução de problemas da comunidade e para a promoção da equidade. A nível económico, verificou-se que a educação relevante pode optimizar o investimento, reduzir o desemprego e impulsionar a inovação. Academicamente, estes estudos foram confirmados como fundamentais para a garantia da qualidade e para a atualização curricular. No entanto, foram identificados desafios, como a rápida evolução do mercado de trabalho, a dificuldade de envolvimento dos principais intervenientes e as regulamentações institucionais. Concluiu-se que os estudos de relevância representam um processo estratégico e contínuo, sendo recomendado que as universidades monitorizem constantemente o mercado de trabalho, colaborem de perto com o setor produtivo e integrem competências interpessoais nos seus currículos para garantir a relevância futura do ensino superior.
