Abstract

Legal security is the certainty that an individual has that if he or she faces a judicial or administrative process, he or she will be judged based on clear pre-established rules and by the competent authority. The Ecuadorian State, in its attempt to eradicate gender violence, has made changes within the legal system, among them is the classification of feminicide as a crime, which aims to rigorously punish anyone who violates a woman for the fact of being women; the creation of the Comprehensive Organic Law to Prevent and Eradicate Violence Against Women, likewise the new provisions of the Administrative Litigation Court to the National Electoral Council, on gender parity in the 2023 National elections, to give the opportunity to participate politically to women. In addition, there are protective measures that serve as an immediate assistance mechanism in cases where a person's integrity is in danger. Finally, the implementation of technological advances and the creation of specialized rooms to provide free care and access to justice effectively within judicial processes and, above all, avoid setbacks in internal procedures.
