The study aims to identify the factors affecting the revenues of large companies in the provinces of Loja and El Oro during 2023, drawing comparisons between the provinces. A quantitative, explanatory methodology with a non-experimental design was applied, using secondary data from the INEC Business Survey (2023). The data were processed using a multiple regression econometric model under the ordinary least squares (OLS) method in Stata, verifying the assumptions of normality, homoscedasticity, and absence of multicollinearity. The results show that, in El Oro, investment in fixed assets has the greatest effect on business revenue, while in Loja, net exports are the most decisive factor. In both provinces, operating costs and skilled human capital also have positive effects. It is concluded that business revenue responds to a combination of physical capital, trade openness, and specialized talent. The study is useful for business management, the formulation of regional public policies, and territorial economic planning. Its originality lies in providing comparative evidence across provinces, offering empirical insights into the determinants of business performance in southern Ecuador
