Abstract

The development of science and technology has impacted all the work of humanity. It is up to the school to train citizens capable of living and performing in an increasingly computerized world. In order to analyze what is the real situation that exists in the Ecuadorian educational field regarding the implementation of ICT, a descriptive study of a bibliographic review type was carried out, systematized through the methods of content analysis, documentary review and analytical-synthetic. Among the main findings is the existence in Ecuador of a regulatory framework for the use of ICT in educational activity; However, the implementation of these technologies is still a task to be fulfilled, since there are limitations in the technological training of teachers, little use and variety of ICTs, laziness of teachers in their use and persistence of traditional teaching and learning methodologies.
