Objective and scope

The journal Society & Technology publishes novel and high-quality articles that focus on the field of Humanities and Social Sciences. The journal is aimed at scientists working in research institutes, universities, governmental institutions or non-governmental organizations and private companies. The aim of the journal is to create a learning environment in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences. In addition, we will publish research with new and interesting topics in the following sections: Education and Assessment, Language and Literature, Media and Journalism, Computer Applications, Politics and Governance, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology and Economics, and Business and Management. Another objective is to increase scientific productivity in the fields of research in Humanities and Social Sciences. There are no economic charges for the edition and publication of articles in the magazine.

The journal's audiences are educated readers, researchers, legislators, administrators, and educational organizations. In addition, the journal is of direct relevance to academics and scientists in a wide variety of disciplines.

Periodicity

The Society & Technology Journal, assuming the commitment to support the dissemination of research, established that from its emergence in 2018, the periodicity of publication will be biannual, with two issues per year planned for the months of January and July. The first issue of the year will cover the period from January to June and the second issue of the year will cover the works accepted from July to December.

The editorial committee considering the demand of the journal decided that from the year 2021 from its first issue the frequency will be increased to Quarterly, comprising the issues, January-April, May-August and September-December.

Given the growth and mayor of the journal, once again the editorial committee decided that starting in 2025, the frequency will increase to Quarterly, comprising the issues January-March, April-June, July-September and October-December.

The issues will be published on the first day of the quarter, that is, issue 1 will be published until January 1st; issue 2 will be published on April 1st; issue 3 will be published on July 1st; and issue 4 will be published on October 1st.

Additionally, the Journal of Society & Technology reserves the right to publish two additional special issues within the volume, in order to cover the demand for publication of proposals for articles of high academic and social level. The reader will be able to identify these special issues in their nomenclature.

As an example, for volume 8, a regular issue within the established publication calendar has the following nomenclature: Vol. 8 No. 1 (2025), meaning that it is volume 8 of the journal, number 1, year 2025. On the other hand, for the same volume, a special issue has the following nomenclature: Vol. 8 No. S1 (2022), meaning that it is volume 8 of the journal, in its special number 1, of the year 2025.

Source of income

Society & Technology is part of the patrimony of the Instituto Superior Tecnológico Jubones and as such, it has an annual financial budget assigned for the expenses generated throughout the year, such as payments to the web system where the magazine is hosted, computer maintenance , cloud payment for content preservation, payment for content design and others.

Advertising - promotion

The international visibility of Society & Technology is generated by its multiple access platforms (pdf, xml), in different academic social networks (ResearchGate, Google scholar) and generic (Lindekin, Facebook), author identifiers (ORCID, ResearcherID).

Likewise, the portal does not accept advertising of any kind on its website.

Charges or fees for authors
