Abstract

Given the failure of the traditional approach to discipline, a paradigm shift regarding justice in the educational context is necessary. The objective of this systematization study is to analyze the state of scientific production on restorative school justice; For which the scientific production on the topic is explored and the main discussions found are synthesized. To fulfill these purposes, documentary review, hermeneutic and statistical methods were used. The sources consulted were Scopus, WOS and Scielo. 30 articles published between 2018 and 2023 that met the inclusion criteria were selected. Among the main findings is that the country with the greatest scientific production on this topic is the United States, followed by Brazil. The year with the highest percentage of research is 2020. Three thematic categories are identified and analyzed: a) justice and restorative practices, b) discipline and school coexistence, and c) teacher involvement. Furthermore, the role of teachers and their practices in changing the traditional discipline is highlighted. A diversity of restorative strategies and practices is recognized. Finally, emphasis is placed on the positive results of the comprehensive implementation of restorative school justice programs.
